Sterling is fantastic with kids and adults alike! He was kind, cordial, funny, and laid-back. He doesn’t rush you like other photographers, and offers suggestions to capture that candid look. All the proofs were amazing. It was so hard to choose which ones to get printed. Would *highly* recommend portraits done in black & white film, which he develops himself! He is truly a talented artist and professional photographer. Can’t wait to book him for our wedding!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How soon can we schedule your new headshots? A: I maintain a regular shooting schedule, which means we can book your session as early as the next day, depending on my availability and studio openings.
Q: What To Wear To Your Acting Headshot Shoot
A: When preparing for your headshot shoot, opt for solid colors and avoid excessive patterns. Bringing a diverse range of solid colors will ensure your headshots look clean and professional. While mid-tones like reds, oranges, browns, and greens bring a warm tone to your images, cooler tones like blues and yellows can add a captivating touch.
Q: Where is your Studio located?
A: My Studio is located in Hilo on Big Island of Hawaii.
Q: Do headshots need to be done in a studio?
A: No, it's your preference, but a studio can be more convenient.
Q: Do you shoot on Film or Digital?
A: For headshots, I mainly shoot on digital for a faster turnaround time. However, I would always prefer to shoot on film for the look and aesthetics.
Q: What are the differences between shooting on film and shooting digitally?
Digital Photography:
Pros of digital photography include faster capture, the ability to capture more images in a single session, a cost-effective approach due to the absence of film and development expenses, and an efficient workflow with immediate results.
Film Photography:
Pros - Nostalgic, deliberate pace, imparts a unique aesthetic, and encourages a thoughtful and deliberate approach due to the limited number of exposures per roll.
Q: What happens after your headshot photoshoot?
A: After the headshot session, you'll get a link to a proofing / downloading gallery. From there, you can pick your favorite images. Once chosen, I'll professionally edit them, making them look their best. You'll then receive a digital download of the final, high-resolution images that are perfect for printing or using online. It's easy and hassle-free!
Q: Do I get the rights to these images?
A: Yes, we share the copyright with you. You are free to print and share the images for personal use, but not for commercial profit. As the original creator and copyright owner, we may also use the images for our own promotional purposes, such as on social media.
Q:What is the Initial Payment?
A:This initial payment is half the total amount and serves to secure the photographer’s availability. It is not classified as a retainer or deposit. The photographer commits to refraining from advertising this reserved time slot to other prospective clients. In the event of a cancellation by the client, the initial payment is non-refundable. The remaining payment is due on the day of the shooting.
